Feel the heat
The glimmering, shimmering
Heat
Of the summer sun
Feel it
As it draws the moisture
From deep within you
Making us very aware
Of the light breeze
That tries
To cool our body
Unsuccessful
By the lightheaded feeling
That pervades the brain
Until the darkness begins
To invade
That realm of light
Wrapping all
In a blanket
Of much needed coolness
And the miracle of life
Invades our consciousness
With the first dim twinkling
Of some
Far distant sun.

To the poets
Who show us
Wrong and right
Give us loving light
And so
Eternal sight
Let their love
Wrapped
And hidden deep
Oft times
Be the beacon
Bright
To open
Closed hearts
To all the love
Hidden in the world
Listen
To the teardrops
That many poets give
Harken
To their laughter
It is their gift
From God
Open
To those hidden words
The Lord reserves
For you and me
Join
The poets of the world
Let love
Create the soil’s [soul’s]
Fertility.

Without a change
That comes from within
We ‘will’
Hear the din
Of another world war
I can see a world
Bathed and dripping
In blood
Washed in the tears
Of the cockholded man
Screaming
I didn’t know
I didn’t know
But a picture glows
As Pinnochio’s nose rose
Sitting there
Upon his hands
Afraid to challenge
What he knew to be wrong
So this is what
Will be
We’ll live til we die
Tomorrow
Oh God
I hear a hollow echo
‘Where did we go wrong’.
