Every person
On this earth
Is a poem yet unsung
So be humanity’s strong pillar
Know
That each person
Has
Their eternal place
And needs just a simple key
To flood the world
Again
Til the earth is deep
In Noah’s waters
Of the past
Let love and wisdom
Flow from in your soul
To open the flood gates
Of mankind’s eternal spirit
Erase
The wrong’s gone by
And create for the children
A brand new day.

Shortsighted man
Your vision
Is definitely impaired
By momentary needs
Ignoring
The harm
Done each day
To the garden
That is this earth
What
Will our children say
Or
Our children’s children
Indeed
When there is no air
To breathe
No
Unpolluted drink
Where mutant children
Will abound
And fear
Become supreme
Rebel against the harm
Done each day
That seals
The future’s plight
And Ethiopia, Sudan
And such
Send
Packages of care
To North American shores
And
Tables turned
We cry to the sky
“Why have you
Forsaken us.”

Have you
Walked
Heart and soul
In the shades
Of night
Beneath
The stars above
Have you felt
The loneliness
So full to overflowing
Of hidden love
And excitement
The thrill
In every unknown footstep
How like this life
We travel
Day to day
Except
We have the sun
To guide, depend upon
If we allow ourselves
To see
Religion’s light
In whatever way
We choose
Yet
The darkness spreads
Even though doors open
Ever more wide.
